• Momofuku Toronto's new upper-level restaurant has a name: Kōjin (the Japanese god of fire). It opens today.
• Bar Altura, a modern Italian spot from the team behind Kay Pacha, has opened in the space that was formerly Lo Zingaro at 571 Queen St. W. (at Portland St.)
• Sansotei Ramen has opened a location in CityPlace at 115 Fort York Blvd.
• Fabbrica now has a location in the PATH inside the TD Centre at 66 Wellington St. W. (at Bay St.)
• Nadege Patisserie has opened a crème glacée (that's "ice cream" in French) shop inside its 780 Queen St. W. location beside Trinity Bellwoods Park.
• Beer Batter, a fish'n'chips and oysters spot from the team behind The Irv Gastro Pub, has replaced The Scullery at 200 Carlton St. (at Ontario St.) in Cabbagetown.
• Pulp Kitchen has reopened in its new location at 689 Queen St. E. in Riverside.
• The Fix Resto Bar is now open at 2415 Yonge St. (at Erskine Ave.) in the former home of Spacco.
• Cafe The Sydney Grind is now open at 2883 Lake Shore Blvd. W. in Etobicoke.
• Top Gun Steak & Burger has opened a location in Scarborough at 2761 Markham Rd.

Opening soon

• Jimmy's Coffee will be opening a new location with "a bistro-esque twist" at 100 Portland St. (just south of Adelaide).
• The Paradise Theatre in Bloorcourt is about to reopen this year, and in addition to an intimate restaurant called Osteria Rialto helmed by Basilio Pesce (La Banane, Canoe, Cheese Boutique), there will also be a place to drink called Bar Biltmore, by Robin Goodfellow of Pretty Ugly.
• Sakai Bar should be opening soon at 1576 Dundas St. W. in Brockton Village.
• Vancouver transplants West Oak and Pierre’s Lounge will be opening Toronto locations here soon on King West.

Closed

• Street Shak has closed on West Queen West. A notice posted on the door says it will be opening a new catering-only location instead.
