We have an immediate opening for a Social Videographer to create food and restaurant-related content for our social media accounts with a primary focus on TikTok and Instagram.
This is a full-time role. blogTO offers a competitive salary and rates which is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Create original videos.
- Pitch content ideas. Host, film, edit, post and/or schedule content.
- Plan and host Instagram and TikTok lives as applicable.

Web Content Creator - Food and Restaurants
We have an immediate opening for a Content Creator who can contribute written content (articles) to blogTO's website related to restaurant openings and closures, local food news, bars, nightlife and other Toronto food-related topics.
Scope of coverage includes all of Toronto including Scarborough, East York, North York, Etobicoke, midtown and downtown Toronto with occasional articles about the food scene in the GTA and southern Ontario.
The ideal candidate should have at least 1-3 years of professional journalism experience, be based in Toronto and have a deep knowledge of what is happening in Toronto related to food and restaurants.

Senior Manager, Head of Video
We have an immediate opening for a Senior Manager to lead our social video team. The individual in this senior team role will be tasked with working with the video team on a daily basis to conceptualize, schedule, coordinate and release blogTO's video content on various social media platforms.

Responsibilities
- With a focus on short-form, vertical video, execute blogTO's video content and release strategy across existing and emerging platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and Snapchat with the video and social media teams.
- Day-to-day management of the video team such as (i) watching videos for quality assurance (ii) assigning and coordinating video shoots (iii) helping the video editors create efficiencies in their editing process (iv) maintaining the social videographers' schedules (v) ensuring the release of vertical video content (vi) actively participating in brainstorming and pitch meetings.
