Toronto Tempo star Marina Mabrey has lived in the city for four months, but she still can't get her Wi-Fi to work.
The 29-year-old WNBA All-Star says she's tried nearly everything, including having a Rogers technician come by to fix the problem. No dice.
The issue apparently reached its breaking point last week, when Mabrey couldn't shop online or even FaceTime family and friends. So she naturally took to social media to publicly call out the Canadian telecom giant, saying her Wi-Fi doesn't work and the company keeps dodging her calls.
Unsurprisingly, Rogers' biggest market rival saw an opportunity to swoop in and land a high-profile customer — and that's exactly what Bell did.

Bell tweeted at Mabrey on Thursday, saying the company had a trade proposal for her: switch from Rogers and get up to eight Gbps (gigabits per second), answered calls and, most importantly, Wi-Fi that works.
Mabrey quote-tweeted Bell's response with a simple "Call me," followed by the eyes emoji.
There's been no word on whether Mabrey has officially made the switch, but this is definitely her welcome-to-Canada moment — turning her dead Wi-Fi connection into an opportunity to land an even better deal with a rival.
Well played, Marina. Well played.
Toronto picked up Mabrey in the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft and immediately signed her to a two-year, $2.4 million deal.
She has blossomed in her first season with the Tempo, quickly becoming one of the most unique personalities in the WNBA, while also playing at a superstar level.
