The votes are in, and the 2026 season rankings for the best broadcast teams in MLB are out.
And, by no surprise, the Toronto Blue Jays' team of Dan Shulman, Joe Siddall, and Hazel Mae is among the league's best for the fourth year in a row.
Each year, American sports outlet Awful Announcing asks its readers to evaluate the local TV broadcast crews for all 30 MLB teams, assigning each a grade from A to F and inviting them to share comments.
More than 85,000 individual votes were tallied, and the grades are in — with the Sportsnet Blue Jays crew ranking eighth, just ahead of AL East rivals Baltimore (10th) and Boston (11th).

The ranking has the Sportsnet broadcast team four spots lower than last year, when they were fourth. The Awful Announcing team believes the drop is largely due to the retirement of legendary broadcaster Buck Martinez following the 2025 season — which Blue Jays fans understand.
"Despite the loss of the great Buck Martinez, Shulman is still great, and it's a reliable broadcast," the ranking reads.
Shulman received the highest praise of the crew, with some graders calling his work "an absolute masterclass" and highlighting how he treats his audience like "intelligent adults."
Graders also noted that Shulman's new sidekick, Siddall, is "still finding his footing" as a full-time replacement for Martinez, though some voters respected the former major leaguer's analytical insight on the broadcast.
This is a top 10 Dan Shulman call on a regular season Blue Jays home run. Understood the gravity of the moment, and nailed it to perfection.

The top-ranked broadcast booth in the league was thankfully not the Los Angeles Dodgers, but it was none other than their Southern California rivals, the San Diego Padres.
The Padres broadcast duo of Don Orsillo and Mark Grant won the award for the second year in a row and received praise for being entertaining and insightful regardless of the score.
Orsillo took to social media to accept the award and thank the voters, saying his team was humbled to be back-to-back winners of this prestigious honour.
