Kawhi Leonard is injured.
After sitting out their last game, the Toronto Raptors announced on Tuesday that Leonard will miss a few weeks as he undergoes treatment and rehabilitation to address swelling in his left knee.
Leonard reportedly suffered the injury during his warm-up routine ahead of the Raptors' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
"Kawhi Leonard will undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program to address swelling in his left knee. Medical imaging revealed no acute injury, and Leonard will be reevaluated in one week," the team said in a press release.
The 35-year-old's injury comes at a tough time for Toronto, with the team's NBA Cup campaign tipping off against the Orlando Magic this Friday.
Toronto's Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss a period of weeks due to swelling in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. MRI on Leonard's knee showed no structural damage, but sides will use the shorter term to ramp him back up after the stoppages during the offseason. https://t.co/DBAgI3v38D

Given that Leonard will be reevaluated next week, it means he likely won't return for the Raptors' upcoming four-game West Coast road trip.
The earliest Leonard could return for the Raptors is when they return to Scotiabank Arena on Nov. 9 to face the Memphis Grizzlies.
