The Toronto Maple Leafs have a chance to extend their winning streak to five games in Calgary on Monday night — but the game won't be available on standard cable television.
Instead, the game will be streamed on Sportsnet+ as part of the network's new paywalled Monday Night Hockey package, meaning fans will need a subscription at an added cost unless they're Rogers Xfinity TV customers with Sportsnet.
Toronto enters Monday night's matchup against the Calgary Flames riding a four-game winning streak against some respectable opponents. A win tonight would mark the team's first five-game winning streak since the 2024-25 season.
Much of the Leafs' recent success has come from their offence. The team has scored 21 goals over the last four games and currently ranks second in the league in scoring, behind only last year's Stanley Cup champions, the Carolina Hurricanes.
If you already subscribe to Sportsnet+, you'll be able to watch the game as part of your existing package. You'll just need to log in.
Rogers Xfinity TV customers with Sportsnet also get Sportsnet+ at no extra cost. Fans with other TV providers who already subscribe to Sportsnet can add Sportsnet+ for an extra $12.99 per month.
For fans without cable, a standalone Sportsnet+ subscription costs $34.99 per month or $269.99 per year.
Monday's game against the Flames is the second of 13 Leafs games this season that will be behind the new Sportsnet+ paywall. Fans won't have to worry about another one until late November, when Toronto travels to New York to face the Islanders.
