It's no secret that the Toronto Maple Leafs have a new jersey on the way, but fans have been wondering what it will look like and when it will finally be revealed.
Maple Leafs fans got one of those answers on Tuesday, when a jersey concept account, @The_JerseyNerds, leaked the design of Toronto's (and several other teams') upcoming "Hometown Remix" jerseys.
Last week, the Maple Leafs shared a cryptic five-word message over what appeared to be a vintage cream-coloured jersey underneath.
The message decoded to "it's always about the Leafs," a running joke around the league about how even stories with nothing to do with Toronto somehow end up involving Leafs fans.
In case you’re more of a squinting person than a scrolling person… We now have TWENTY of the upcoming Hometown Remix jerseys, nearly 2/3rds of the league. Who’s in the lead for your favorite? 🍎: @abslswrld @carterrichardd https://t.co/wYNaf1DxqU

The message had Leafs fans wondering what the team could be cooking up when it came to these new threads — though it appears it's just a unique modern design of a 100-year-old jersey.
While some other teams went for bright colours, the Leafs went with a vintage cream-coloured design with the logo and font from the 1927 home jersey. Toronto is written across the bottom of the jersey in a varsity-style block font, and blue and white stripes on the sleeves round out the design, paying homage to the team's traditional colours.
Although the jersey designs are unofficial until the team reveals them, Leafs fans were buzzing about the look on social media.

"OK, these are fillllllthy. Can't wait to see these on the ice," one fan replied on X.
"Pretty good, hope the details are felt bc that would be chef kiss," replied another.
Toronto will wear the Hometown Remix jerseys on select nights throughout the season, with fans getting their first look at them in action on Nov. 7, when the Leafs host the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Arena.
The team will also wear the jerseys the following night against the New Jersey Devils, with five Hometown Remix games scheduled for Toronto throughout November.
