AGO hints at possible exhibition featuring art from Toronto Blue Jays' Dylan Cease

It's no secret that Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Dylan Cease is a man of many talents.

Besides being one of the best pitchers in the American League this season, Cease has spent much of his spare time indulging in the fine arts.

Since signing a seven-year, $210 million contract with the Blue Jays last offseason, the 30-year-old right hander has painted five Toronto-themed pieces.

He has shared four of them on Instagram and gifted another to Blue Jays manager John Schneider, which is reportedly hanging in his Rogers Centre office.

Blue Jays fans have been asking for a Dylan Cease exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and now it appears something like that might actually be in the works.

On Wednesday, the AGO shared an image of a neatly folded stack of black clothing sitting on a wooden crate, with a baseball placed on top.

The clothing features the words "AGO X," which, combined with the baseball, has Blue Jays fans wondering what collaboration the gallery may be cooking up.

The post was captioned: "Mark your calendars. 08.25.26."

Cease also shared the AGO's photo to his Instagram story, and added a thinking-face emoji, giving Blue Jays fans even more reason to wonder.

Painting is just one of Cease's many hobbies outside of baseball. He's also an avid disc golfer and even owns a merchandise line, plus a disc golf course in Florida.

The AGO just happens to be one of the 10 biggest art galleries in North America, making it a pretty fitting place for a potential exhibition from the Blue Jays ace.

Cease's most recent painting was auctioned off for $16,000 in support of the Jays Care Foundation.

There are no further details, besides the date, to what's coming on Aug. 25. Blue Jays fans will surely have to stay tuned to see what the AGO has in store.
