Toronto Tempo star is already 'sick to death' of Rogers after a few months in the city

Toronto Tempo star Marina Mabrey is experiencing all the growing pains that come with living in the city, and she's become frustrated with this Canadian telecommunications giant.

Mabrey has apparently been trying to get her Rogers Wi-Fi to work in her Toronto apartment for weeks, though she's had little luck.

It got to the point where Mabrey took to social media on Saturday to ask for help.

"Someone please help me with Rogers WiFi. It literally doesn’t work, and they never answer my calls," Mabrey wrote on X.

The 29-year-old basketball star certainly isn't alone in her complaints.

Mabrey addressed these Wi-Fi woes following Toronto Tempo practice on Monday. She said she was finally able to get some help, only for the problem to return a few hours later.

"The technician came and got me to take everything out of my closet. Then he said the device had my apartment number wrong or something," Mabrey told reporters.

"Two hours later, I'm watching the Indiana Fever game. Thirteen seconds left in the fourth quarter, Wi-Fi cut off — I have no idea what happened."

One reporter called Mabrey's experience her "welcome to Toronto" moment, yet she made it clear it was one she did not want to be a part of.

"I want my Wi-Fi to work. I'm sick to death; I can't order anything from Skims, and I can barely FaceTime. I'm about to tweet back at Rogers again."

Come on, Rogers, how hard can it be?

In her first season in Toronto, Mabrey has emerged as one of the most unique personalities in the WNBA. Plus, she's been playing at a superstar level —  averaging more than 20 points per game and reaching her first career WNBA All-Star game last month.
