New four-storey wellness hub in Toronto offers everything from fitness to psychotherapy

With the broadly defined global wellness industry hitting a record US$6.8 trillion in 2025 and expected to reach nearly $10 trillion by 2029, it's only fair that Toronto entrepreneurs are looking to get a piece of the pie.

The Practice, a new "wellness destination" that opened in the Annex on Aug. 11, is on track to take a particularly large slice.

Though multidisciplinary wellness destinations in the city have been on the rise in the past decade — think spots like Sweat and Tonic, that combine fitness with other services like saunas and rehabilitation — few have gone so far as to put virtually every service you could possibly conceive of falling under the wellness umbrella under one roof.

But that's exactly what former therapist and founder of The Practice, Sara Jackson, set out to do.

Spanning 6000 sq. ft. across four floors, The Practice's offerings, which run the gamut from evidence-based to slightly woo-woo, include therapy, life and career coaching, yoga, meditation, breathwork, chakra healing, red light therapy, sound baths, lymphatic drainage and vibrational therapy.

Are you relaxed yet?

The crowning glory, a spacious and serene rooftop patio, serves both as a space where members can unwind and connect and as a location for meditation, breathwork and yoga classes.

"My own healing journey taught me that what we need most is not just a place to process pain, but a place to remember who we are beyond it. The Practice is everything I wished had existed when I needed it most," Jackson says.

Of course, all that wellness doesn't come for free.

Yoga and meditation classes and sound baths can be booked as drop-ins and range in price from $45 to $85, depending on the class or event. You can also opt to choose one of five different membership tiers that range from $200 to $1900 a month, inclusive of varying quantities of classes, self-guided wellness experiences, and practitioner-led sessions.

It may leave your wallet needing a breathwork session of its own, but hey, it works!

The Practice is located at 360 Davenport Rd.
