Basketball star Angel Reese hints Drake slid into DMs asking her to visit Toronto

Toronto rapper Drake has somewhat of a reputation for allegedly sliding into the DMs of female celebrities, ranging from Stranger Things breakout Millie Bobby Brown to 90 Day Fiance star Chantel Everett.

And word is that October's Very Own is at it again.

College basketball star Angel Reese made headlines earlier in April after a much-talked-about incident during the 2023 NCAA Division I women's basketball championship game, where the LSU Tigers forward taunted Caitlin Clark of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The incident drew a mix of criticism and praise from big names in the sports sphere and beyond, including several high-profile public congratulations. And a few private ones.

Reese appeared on Charlamagne tha God's The Breakfast Club radio show on Monday morning alongside teammate and rapper Flau'jae to discuss their whirlwind month, including the constant press coverage and many shoutouts that have thrust them into the spotlight for weeks.

When co-host DJ Envy asked Reese to name names, she appeared to get a bit flustered, but Envy then pressed further, saying, "start with the short guys."

"All of them shorter than me," jokes the 6'3" athlete, before listing off rappers Drake and Future.

The hosts then cut Reese off, Envy warning that "You said two that you need to stay far away from," as the room erupted in laughter.

"He just congratulated me," says Reese of the rapper 16 years her senior, before attempting to change the subject by listing other names like DJ Khaled and French Montana."

But the hosts were not done with their Drake-related line of questioning, Envy cutting Reese off to ask if Drake invited her to play basketball on the hallowed court of his Bridle Path mansion in Toronto.

"Then Drake gonna say, 'You know I got a basketball court at the crib?' Did he say that yet?"

In response, Reese hides her face with her hands and starts giggling, igniting the room with "oohhhs" as she all but confirmed an affirmative response to the question.

The subject soon moved on to less spicy matters, leaving the world wondering what became of Drake and Reese's DM conversation.
