10 Chinese restaurants in Toronto open on Christmas Day 2025

Chinese restaurants open in Toronto on Christmas Day are serving all the staples of Chinese cuisine to anyone with a craving on Dec. 25.

While plenty of people in Toronto will be piling up the turkey, mashed potatoes and ham on Christmas Day 2025, many others will opt to order in, and there are few traditions more cherished than a good, old-fashioned Christmas Chinese takeout feast.

Whether it's your annual M.O. or something new you're trying this time around, there's no shortage of Chinese restaurants in the city ready to keep you fed despite the statutory holiday.

Here are 10 Chinese restaurants in Toronto that will be open on Christmas Day 2025.

House of Gourmet

Chinatown is alight with the sights and smells of delectable eats every Christmas, and 2025 will be no different. This local stalwart will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. to cover your cravings whenever you hit.

Hong Shing Chinese Restaurant

Head to Little Tokyo (or call in for takeout) to dish up all your favourite Chinese favourites from this long-running local staple. On the holiday, they'll be open from noon to 11 p.m.

Mott 32 Toronto

If you're looking for a slightly different Chinese food experience on Christmas Day than the tried-and-true takeout, head to this swanky spot at the Shangri-La Hotel for Michelin-recognized dim sum and Chinese BBQ.

Hakka Legend

The name really says it all: this Hakka spot with five locations in the GTA is nothing short of legendary, and that's not only because it rarely ever closes. Even still, the fact that it'll be open on Christmas definitely sweetens the deal.

Dim Sum King

What you see (as in, on the sign that proudly advertises dim sum) is what you get at this Chinatown staple that'll be serving a broad selection of dim sum staples from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 25.

New Sky Restaurant

This unassuming Chinatown bistro serves an extensive menu of both Cantonese and Chifa (Chinese-Peruvian) cuisine. On Dec. 25, it'll be open from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Rosewood Chinese Cuisine

This Chinatown staple is home to some of the best dim sum in Toronto, and that doesn't change just because it's a stat holiday. For $38.99, you can dine on all-you-can-eat dim sum, or opt to order à la carte or get your favourite dishes delivered.

Asian Dragon Buffet

Rally your crew and pile your plate high with anything you could dream of at this Scarborough all-you-can-eat buffet that serves everything from crab legs to chow mein. On Christmas Day, it'll be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and again from 5 to 10 p.m.

Szechuan Gourmet

You won't only find droolworthy Chinese food in Chinatown on Christmas Day. This North York hidden gem for Hakka and Szechuan-style Chinese will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the holiday.

Rol San

Another one of the city's dim sum standouts, this Chinatown classic that's been around for over 30 years is a crowd-pleaser any day of the week, and especially so on a holiday. This Christmas, it'll be open from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
