It's always fun to discover a side of Toronto you didn't know existed. And this summer, Asahi Super Dry is inviting you to do just that.
Get ready for Tokyo Nights, a series of experiences at some of Canada's top bars and restaurants, inspired by the hidden listening bars and underground nightlife culture of Tokyo. It's all part of Asahi Super Dry's "Seeking The Unique" campaign, which invites Toronto to look out for the unexpected in their own city.
It will also be partnering with celebrity chef Susur Lee to transform a classic beer-drinking staple into an exclusive culinary creation that reflects the shared values of creativity, precision, and craft.
Here's a closer look.
The Tokyo Nights series is stopping at three Toronto venues throughout August and September, with each one getting its own unique transformation.
First up is Silent H on Saturday, Aug. 22, followed by Soluna on Friday, Sep. 25, and Bar Mordecai on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
The experiences are open to the public, so anyone curious about seeing these familiar spaces in a completely different light can join in.
Once inside, expect live DJ sets, curated food and drink, Asahi Super Dry tastings, and Tokyo-inspired touches that bring the hidden listening bar concept to life. Look beyond the expected and experience familiar food, nightlife, and culture from a fresh perspective.
In September, the series will culminate with something very special and delicious.
Chef Susur Lee/Asahi Super Dry
The final Tokyo Night will take place at Lee Restaurant, where an intimate dinner with acclaimed Toronto chef Susur Lee will introduce guests to a unique culinary creation: a limited-edition Super Dry Ramen.
The ramen has been created by Chef Susur Lee specifically to complement the crisp, clean, and dry taste of Asahi Super Dry — and you could be among the first to try.
A select group will get the chance to score a seat at an intimate Lee Restaurant dinner and try the Super Dry Ramen alongside Chef Susur Lee himself. If you want to be part of it, you'll need to follow @asahisuperdry_ca on Instagram, look out for the contest details, and enter.
But don't worry if you're not one of the lucky ones who gets a seat at the ramen dinner, because there are still plenty of opportunities to experience the Seeking the Unique spirit with Toronto's Tokyo Nights!
You must be of legal drinking age (19+) to enter the contest. Please enjoy Asahi Super Dry responsibly.
