The top 30 pies in Toronto by neighbourhood

Pies in Toronto are a seasonal delight, filled with berries and stone fruit in the summer months; pumpkin and minced meat as the temperatures cool; and of course, cream pies, which are always tasty. Luckily in Toronto, bakers have got the whole gamut covered.

Here are my picks for the top pies in Toronto by neighbourhood.

Kensington Natural Bakery is home to a variety of pies that often includes vegan and gluten-free versions in flavours like apple, pecan and pumpkin.

Avenue and Lawrence

Pies at The Rolling Pin are next level. Among the many whimsical creations, find a PB&J pie, a sprinkles topped birthday cake pie and a s'mores pie featuring a rich chocolate filling, a graham cracker crust and torched marshmallows.

Bayview and Leaside

Charmaine Sweets has a number of goodies on offer including a tasty range of pies in flavours like apple and pumpkin.

Golden, double-crusted apple pies are a staple on the display counter at Bakerbots, but seasonal features should also be expected, especially pumpkin pies in the fall.

Bloordale Village

Home Baking offers pie by the slice for immediate consumption as well as whole pies if you order in advance. Apple pie is pretty regular, though you'll also find pumpkin, blueberry and strawberry-rhubarb when in season.

Bloor West Village

Hot Oven Bakery boasts locations across the GTA. You can find all the favourites such as apple pie and apple crumble along with fruit flavours like raspberry, cherry, blueberry, peach and strawberry-rhubarb.

Brockton Village

Popular neighbourhood bakery OMG Baked Goodness is where you'll find mixed berry, ginger peach and strawberry rhubard pies.

Absolute Bakery is a favourite among locals because its pies feature a fantastically rich, buttery crust. Choose from pecan, apple, cherry, blueberry, mixed berry and French custard with fresh fruit on top.

Fox & Fiddle has transformed into The Fox Market where a whole slew of groceries are available. Here's where you'll discover a tasty apple mixed berry crumble you can bake at home.

Corso Italia

Pie is among the copious amounts of desserts available at Tre Mari Bakery. The Italian bakery sells them flavours of apple, lemon, cherry and blueberry.

When it comes to pies at Gerrard Street Bakery you can go either the sweet or savoury route with items like apple crumble and Tourtiere on offer.

Entertainment District

Apple, bumbleberry and banana cream pies are just some of the sweet ways you can finish off your meat filled meal off at Meat & Pie Co.

Pies are the name of the game at The Pie Commission. The majority of their menu features handheld savoury pies but they also have a rotating menu of 5 inch dessert pies available.

Kesington Market
