If you're waiting for Toronto's FIFA World Cup ticket prices to come down, you might be better off trying your luck in another host city.
According to TicketData.com, the average get-in price (across the six Toronto games) for a single ticket on the resale market is currently US$1,160. This makes Toronto the sixth-most expensive host city out of the tournament's 16 venues.
Only Mexico City, Guadalajara, Miami, Dallas, and New York have higher average get-in prices. Mexico's is more than double Toronto's average and tops the list by a significant margin.
The website also indicated that Toronto has some of the fastest-rising ticket prices of any 2026 host city. Since the tournament began, resale prices in Toronto climbed 80 per cent, trailing only Houston, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

TicketData.com calculates its averages using the latest completed sales across major third-party resale sites, as well as the cheapest tickets currently listed on the market.
The most expensive Toronto match on the resale market is currently the July 2 Round of 32 knockout game between the runner-up of Group K and the runner-up of Group L — which could feature two of these four powerhouse teams: Portugal, England, Colombia, and Croatia.
The cheapest ticket for that match was selling for more than US$2,200 (roughly C$3,000) at the time of publication.
Toronto appears to have caught World Cup fever, as nearly all matches are sold out on FIFA's official ticketing site. The only exception is the final group-stage match between Senegal and Iraq, where more than 200 Category 1 tickets remain available at face value for $1,390.

On the other hand, Canada's other host city (Vancouver) has one of the tournament's more affordable get-in prices, ranking 13th, with an average resale get-in price below C$1,000.
There are also tickets still available at BC Place for two of the four group-stage matches.
