The next FIFA World Cup team has officially arrived in Toronto, and they didn't make it too far before being mobbed by supporters.
On Thursday night, players from the Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) were spotted outside Italian pastry shop Dacasto Gran Pasticceria on King St. E, surrounded by a crowd of Ivorian fans.
A video posted to the Équipe Nationale de Football Côte d'Ivoire account on X showed players signing autographs and posing for photos outside the Italian pastry shop ahead of Saturday's match at Toronto Stadium against Germany.

The crowd quickly grew before a few nearby police officers stepped in to control the fans as players made their way toward the Omni King Edward hotel just down the street.
With several teams staying at the Omni King Edward hotel during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Toronto, the pastry spot has become an unexpected hotspot.
An employee at Dacasto Gran Pasticceria told blogTO that they've seen a significant uptick in customers with the FIFA World Cup in town and teams staying nearby.
"It's been great on game days," the employee said. "Normally, we don't see so many customers this time of year, but there's been constant foot traffic outside."
The shop said it has seen a handful of players stop by, though team staff and coaches have been the more frequent visitors, which totally adds up, given they aren't the ones playing.

Bosnia and Herzegovina also stayed at the same hotel last week ahead of its Group B opener against Canada.
Ivory Coast arrives in Toronto riding a high after defeating Ecuador with a late 90-minute goal in their opening Group E match. But the biggest match for the Ivorians will likely come on Saturday afternoon.
The Ivory Coast vs. Germany match at Toronto Stadium comes with high stakes, as the winner will likely determine the winner of Group E.
