Bosnian players hit Toronto streets ahead of FIFA opener and here's where they went

Three FIFA World Cup teams have arrived in Toronto as the world's biggest sporting event is just days away from kick-off, with Canada facing Bosnia and Herzegovina this Friday.

Both teams arrived in Toronto over the weekend, and it didn't take long for some of Bosnia and Herzegovina's players to start exploring the city.

On Monday, Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemović, striker Ermedin Demirović, and a handful of teammates were spotted making the iconic walk up Yonge Street from the King Edward Hotel to Yorkville to visit this high-fashion streetwear retailer.

The players reportedly stopped in at KITH Toronto to do some shopping on their day off ahead of Friday's World Cup opener.

Honestly, if you're into streetwear fashion, a stop at KITH is basically mandatory. The retailer has fewer than 20 locations worldwide, and Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood just happens to be home to one of them.

Muharemović first shared a selfie with his teammates on Instagram outside a hair salon near Yonge and Wellesley before later posting another photo of the lads strolling east along Yorkville Avenue near Oliver's Jewellery.

Yorkville is one of the city's most affluent and happening neighbourhoods. If you're looking for luxury shopping or the occasional celebrity sighting, it's the place to be.

The only thing that would've been more Toronto than posing outside Oliver's Jewellery would have been a quick trip to the Bridle Path for a photo in front of Drake's mansion.

Aside from their tour of the Bloor-Yorkville area, Bosnia and Herzegovina's squad has also been spotted in Etobicoke, with the team holding practices at Centennial Park ahead of Friday's match.

Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina are just two of the nine countries that will play in Toronto over the next few weeks.

Panama, which will play two games in the city, has already settled into its training base at the Nottawasaga Inn in New Tecumseth, up Highway 400. They'll open their World Cup against Ghana on June 17, before playing again versus Croatia on June 23.

With more players and coaches arriving in the coming weeks, don't be surprised if you see more FIFA World Cup stars at some familiar Toronto hot spots.
