The Dyson store in Yorkdale Mall is offering a unique opportunity for a complimentary hairstyling session that's all about getting hands-on with their products.

Dyson, renowned for its innovative products, isn't just about vacuum cleaners and air purifiers, and in a bid to provide consumers with a firsthand experience with their hair tools, the brand's Yorkdale location offers a free service to get your hair done.

This way, you can try Dyson's range of hair care products before committing to dropping a couple of hundred dollars on them. 

blogTO spoke to Rajat Gaur, a Dyson retail expert, to get the inside scoop on what this experience entails.

"So our stylists are licensed," explains Gaur. "They can present or demo the products that customers are interested in."

"And it happens to be a 20-minute appointment where customers can come in, choose the product they want to try out, and our stylists will help them style their hair and teach them how to use the product.”

The unique aspect of this service is the interactive learning process. Not only do customers get to watch the stylists work their magic, but they also get to test out the products themselves. 

You can book the service as early as a week in advance, all directly from the online booking portal. 

Whether it's the Supersonic hair dryer, Airwrap, or Corrale straightener, customers can experiment with different tools under the guidance of professional stylists.

A major draw of this service is that there's no obligation to make a purchase. Customers are free to enjoy a hair makeover and learn about Dyson's products without any pressure to buy. 

Dyson isn't unique in their approach, with other companies offering similar free services to customers so they can learn about products before buying them.

Sephora, for example, offers a free foundation matching service that allows you to test out their foundations until you find your best match. 

You can also book free consultations with certain beauty brands, like Giorgio Armani and M.A.C., at The Bay before purchasing their products.

The Dyson store in Yorkville also offers other complimentary services that allow customers to test all their products (beyond just their hair tool line).

For walk-in customers who are still interested in trying out the product, the stylist will let you use the products on yourself and test it out on a few strands, according to Gaur.
