Boxing Day Sales in Toronto 2011

Boxing day sales in Toronto start tomorrow. Didn't get that Christmas gift your were hoping for? Or just looking to score some discounts on some clothing, electronics or something else on your wish list. This post is for you. While some stores are closed until later in the week, the majority of Toronto shops open their doors on December 26th with limited time discounts that almost make the crowds worth braving. Almost. Here are some of the most noteworthy boxing day sales in Toronto for 2011.

FASHION

Gotstyle
This menswear mecca always does an amazing Boxing Day blowout. The entire store is 30% off but there's also door crasher specials, bargain bins of hats, scarves, bags and belts; slim fit dress shirts for $50 (regular $165), 50% off all ties, basic dress pants, Dr. Denim chinos and more. More info.

Philip Sparks
Philip Sparks' popup turned storefront at 63 Ossington Avenue will be hosting a Boxing Day knockout sale with prices slashed as much as 75%. Pick up locally-made men's and women's apparel, accessories, footwear, samples and one-of-a-kinds. Sale on December 26th only from 11am to 6pm.

Seventy Seven
Kim Newport-Mimran's Pink Tartan flagship store in Yorkville is featuring deep discounts until the end of the month including one of a kind samples and up to 70% off selected items. The boutique opens at 8am on the 26th so wake up early before the inventory gets picked over. More info.

Branded Boutique
This designer outlet on Spadina just south of Queen does discounts on a daily basis but from the 26th to the 31st they drop they prices even further with jeans and more marked down 20 to 70% off retail. Go here if you're looking to pick up some True Religion, Seven for All Mankind, G Star, Nudie, Diesel, Tavernitti, Rock and Republic, Levis, Citizens of Humanity and other popular denim brands.

  • Woodlawn: 30% off select clothing and shoes. December 26th from 10am to 6pm.
  • Off the Cuff: At least 50% off everything. Sale on December 26th and 27th.
  • Dalston Grey: 25-40% off from December 27th to 30th.
  • Harry Rosen: 50% off select suits, jackets, dress shirts and accessories. Shop before noon and get an additional $150 off a purchase of a suit.
  • Chasse Gardee: 50-70% storewide on December 26th.
  • Oliver Spencer: 50 to 70% off all items in store on December 26th from 10am to 7pm.
  • Uncle Otis: 20 to 50% off men's shirts, outerwear, footwear and accessories.
  • Fred Perry: 50 - 70% off everything in store.
  • The Narwhal: Select items 50% off.
  • Rac Boutique: 50% off select items on December 26th and 27th.
  • Lileo: 50% off demin on December 26th and 27th.
  • Holt Renfrew: Boxing Week sale runs from the 26th until January 8th but get here bright and early on Monday for the best selection. Up to 80% off.
  • American Apparel: But two, get one free on t-shirts, long sleeves, tanks and body suits. Plus more deals.

COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONICS

Best Buy
The online sale is already on but for the best deals head to one of their Toronto area stores to pick up a Samsung 43" Plasma TV for $399 or Bose Portable Dock Bundle for $349.99. More info.

Future Shop
The two day Boxing Day sale at all Toronto-area Future Shop locations features a Panasonic 60" Plasma TV for $999 and an Xbox 360 4GB console for $129.99. More info.

Does Shelter ever NOT have a sale? Anyway, for Boxing Day they're bringing back their on again off again Pay No HST on everything sale. They also promise up to 65% off items in store but past history tells this usually means 10% off most in stock items. More info.

KIDS AND BABY

Ella + Elliot
For high end cribs, diaper bags and more, Ella and Elliot is the place to go for the next five days. The entire store is 13% off (save for Knoll Kids, Herman Miller and a select few other brands) and some clearance and store models can be had for up to 75% off the regular price.
