From all of the vibrant record shops that once lined Yonge Street to the city's evolving skyline, Toronto looked a little different in the early 2000s than it does today.
Yonge-Dundas Square (now Sankofa Square) was still finding its footing, Sam the Record Man still towered high above Yonge Street, and Stollery's was a familiar landmark on Bloor Street.
The following 25 photos capture Toronto as it was between 2000 and 2012, revisiting some of the city's most recognizable streets, landmarks, and storefronts that have since changed, remained frozen in time, or disappeared entirely.
