Toronto ranked world's third best city to live and work
We all know Toronto's pretty great, but according to PwC's most recent Cities of Opportunity 7 report, we're the third best city to live and work in, in the world.
In PwC's biennial report, it pits 30 cities against each other, ranking them based on a list of indicators. Toronto earned top marks in terms of quality of life (ranked number one) and health, safety and security (ranked number two).
The report notes we still have some work to do, especially in regards to transportation and digital security.
"It makes us proud to see Toronto performing so well against many of these renowned global cities," says Raj Kothari, a managing partner at PwC Canada in a news release.
"Toronto's strong performance in metrics related to quality of life and economic potential are consistent with the realities of a city that has been internationally recognized for its cultural diversity, growing community of entrepreneurs, and accessible health care system, social services and education."
Our third place finish is a step up from the 2014 study, where we ranked fourth. Now, we're sitting right behind London and Singapore, which take the number one and two spots, respectively.
