Welcome to NOLA and the West Bend

It's always interesting to see emerging (dare I say gentrifying) neighbourhoods attempt to take on new monikers. Last year a group called Fuzzy Boundaries famously petitioned residents to select a new name for what is now commonly referred to as the Junction Triangle. But more recently two other neighbourhoods have attempted to re-brand themselves.

For those who haven't heard, the rudder-like plot of land between Keele, Dundas West and Bloor is now called the West Bend and the few blocks between Amsterdam Brewery and King West around the Thompson Hotel is being referred to by local business owners as NOLA (NOrth of LAkeshore).
