They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Toronto Blue Jays fans took that to heart when deciding what to dress up as for Halloween this year.
Following last year's World Series run, we were bound to see a few Blue Jays-themed costumes this Halloween. But rather than fans dressing up as All-Star Ernie Clement or manager John Schneider, they went dressed as this beloved broadcaster instead.
Several fans shared pictures of themselves dressed up as Sportsnet's on-field Blue Jays reporter Hazel Mae, rocking her signature all-red, Canada-inspired pantsuit, while carrying a Sportsnet microphone in hand.
Some even paired the distinct look with John Schneider, Dylan Cease, and even a Gatorade bucket.
Mae herself appeared to get quite the kick out of fans dressing as her; she even shared several photos of kids and adults on her social media page, writing, "I enjoyed seeing these 'Hazel Mae' costumes. Thanks for sending."
When fans commented that having people dress up as you is a sure sign you've made it, Mae gave a humble response.
"Only my mom thinks that," she said.
Of course, Mae wasn't the only Blue Jays personality or moment inspiring Halloween costumes this year.

One person's costume was as scary as it gets for Toronto sports fans.
Their costume was the infamous Game 6 play when an Addison Barger hit became lodged in the outfield wall. The fan's costume was a Dodgers jersey with his hands in the air.
Another couple got creative and dressed as Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk, while the other was a stolen second base. Something that's only happened twice in his career.
You just have to respect the creativity with each of these.
In the meantime, free agency is opening soon, and there's only 100-some odd days until Spring Training.
