After plenty of hype and speculation, the Toronto Maple Leafs have officially unveiled their new "Hometown Remix" jersey.
While some NHL teams opted for designs inspired by their respective cities, the Leafs went a more traditional route, one that was a century in the making.
The jersey features an off-white, cream-coloured design with a vintage crest that remixes the original Maple Leafs logo from the 1927 season, when the franchise changed its name from the Toronto St. Patricks to the Maple Leafs.
There's a leaf-vein pattern that also runs through the jersey and is pressed into the sleeves' blue and white striping and the numbers to represent the team's mantra, strength and unity.

The word "Toronto" is also written across the bottom in a varsity-style font, seemingly paying tribute to the city's Varsity Blues.
The Leafs will wear the Hometown Remix jerseys on select nights throughout the season, with the first being on Nov. 7 when they host the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Arena.

They'll also wear the jerseys the following night against the New Jersey Devils, with five Hometown Remix games scheduled throughout November.
Fans can get their hands on the Maple Leafs Hometown Remix jersey on Fanatics Canada for $274.99.
