Record-breaking Canada's Wonderland coaster racing towards spring opening

The clock is ticking down to the planned spring opening of Canada's Wonderland's new flagship roller coaster, AlpenFury, and the park continues to tantalize the public with views of the new record-breaking attraction.

AlpenFury will soon claim the titles of Canada's longest, tallest, and fastest launch coaster, hurtling riders on a kilometre-long track with a dizzying nine inversions (the most of any single coaster in North America), that will top out at blistering speeds of 115 km/h.

And while Wonderland has not shared an official opening date for the new attraction's debut beyond a vague spring timeline, a new update shared by the park on Wednesday is giving the public a lot to chew on.

The photos include one shot that provides impatient coaster fans with a first-person view of what it will be like to ride Canada's most hotly-anticipated new ride in years.

Canada's Wonderland's upcoming opening day is Thursday, May 8, 2025, though parkgoers will likely have to wait a bit longer for the ride's debut.

Until then, Wonderland is hoping to keep the public appetite satiated with these impressive photo updates.
