niagara on the lake christmas market

Ontario's 'prettiest town' is getting a new holiday market in enchanted garden

Niagara-on-the-Lake, lauded as the "prettiest town in Ontario," is gearing up for the holidays, and a brand-new Christmas market will only add to the festive ambiance this season.

Vintage Hotels Christmas Market, a three-day holiday event presented by the luxury and boutique hotel chain, will usher in the Christmas season in the town known for vineyards and vintage charm.

The inaugural event in the increasingly popular tourist hotspot will feature culinary experiences, a Christmas market, and workshops spanning a full weekend of seasonally themed attractions.

Culinary offerings will include a sip-and-savour experience, a holiday tea event, and a Victorian-style feast hosted at the region's historic Prince of Wales Hotel.

Guests can attend all three gastronomic experiences or choose the one that best tickles their taste buds. Each food-and-beverage event requires a separate ticket, with prices ranging from $59 to $95, depending on the experience.

Running on both Saturday and Sunday, the market will feature local vendors selling everything from handcrafted items to gourmet treats and more. The holiday spirit will be kicked up a notch with live music from St. Michael's Choir, providing a soundtrack worthy of a Hallmark classic.

The market will take over The Gardens at Pillar and Post Inn & Spa, a fitting setting for a dreamy Christmas market inspired by Claude Monet's renowned gardens in France, with all other attractions on-site except the Victorian Nutcracker Feast.

Vintage Hotels Christmas Market will run from Nov. 20 to 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Visit the event's official website for more information and to purchase tickets.

Vintage Hotels Christmas Market will take place at 526 Regent St. in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.
