Dazzling drive-through holiday light show returning to Ontario next month

If you're eager to skip past Halloween and ready to get into the festive spirit, you'll be pleased to hear that Ontario's dazzling drive-through holiday light show is returning to three cities next month.

Magic of Lights is set to bring its larger-than-life holiday displays back to Barrie, London, and Ottawa from Nov. 20 to Jan. 2, giving you the chance to soak up the festive magic without even having to leave your car.

The holiday experience illuminates outdoor trails into winter wonderlands, featuring a dazzling array of glowing lights, seasonal characters, and digital animations powered by LED technology.

Whether you're looking to get into the holiday spirit a bit earlier this year, or spend a cozy evening with your family, the drive-through attraction offers the chance to take in all the sights of the festive season from the comfort of your own car.

Visitors in Ottawa can also make a stop at a festive winter village located along the Magic of Lights route, dubbed the Mark Motors Group Holiday "Pit Stop," which will feature Instagram-worthy displays, a Santa letter-writing station, and classic Canadian treats to munch on.

Tickets are sold per vehicle, meaning one ticket will cover everyone in your carload, so you can bring along your friends and family to enjoy the holiday spectacle together.

If you're hoping to get a head start on your holiday plans, November special tickets at all three Ontario locations currently start at $25.99 per vehicle. One-time tickets that can be used anytime throughout the season currently start at $30.50 on weekdays, with a special offer of $33.99 for tickets valid any day.

Magic of Lights will be located at Springwater Provincial Park (1331 Route 26) in Barrie, Fanshawe Conservation Area (1424 Clarke Rd.) in London, and Wesley Clover Parks (411 Corkstown Rd.) in Ottawa.

Ottawa's event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

In London, Magic of Lights will operate from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. nightly once open. From Nov. 20 to Dec. 10, the holiday drive-through will operate daily in Barrie from 5:30 to 9 p.m., with hours shifting slightly between Dec. 11 and Jan. 2.

During this period, the attraction will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Tickets for the holiday drive-throughs are currently available for purchase online.
