Regina! Regina!

This lovely lady is making her way to our fine town. Relatively unknown, Regina Spektor is riding a unicorn right into my heart with her clever wit and dreamy voice.

Her newest album Soviet Kitsch is finally available in Toronto (I saw it at Soundscapes, but also check Rotate This ). I got mine on my last visit to NYC and was seriously considering making a trip down there to see her live. She's just that wonderful! For a scrumptious sample you can stream the entire album on her website.

Playing at The Rivoli on Wednesday April 6th, I'll be the one in the corner drinking red wine with tears in my eyes (teen angst foreva!) Tickets price is $10.

Regina Spektor was born in the perma-winter land of furry hats they call Russia, but moved to the Bronx with her brother named Bear and parental partnership when she was only 9 years old. A little more about her life.
