Marvel star Iman Vellani shares her favourite spots in Toronto

Canadian actress and comic author Iman Vellani is best known for her role as 
Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but you might just run into the on-screen star in local hotspots like Kensington Market or Christie Pits.

Vellani, who was born in Pakistan and moved to the Greater Toronto Area at a young age, grew up in Markham, but still knows quite a bit about the local sights of the 6ix. 

blogTO caught up with the 24-year-old rising star for her picks on the city's best neighbourhood, its best cafe, where to go for cheap eats, which park to hang out in, among many others.

Vellani is a big fan of the Kensington neighbourhood, but you also might find her posted up with a laptop and a coffee in The Combine, or grabbing a cheap bite to eat at Ginger, perusing the AGO, or even hanging out in Christie Pits on a crisp fall day.

Just don't expect to catch her on the subway, as Vellani didn't appear to be a big fan of the TTC's rapid transit network.
