Here's your chance to discover the food scene right here in your own backyard! Taste of Downtown Tours has two new tours this season, designed to take local foodies through two tasty neighbourhoods.
First up is the Downtown Yonge Lunch Tour. Join on Thursday afternoons from now until Nov 26 for a lunch-hour adventure for just $20. Designed to foster face-to-face connection, it's perfect to break out of your normal routine and is ideal for those who work or study locally.
For the weekend warriors, Sip & Stroll is a 90-minute walking experience that explores independent cafes, tea shops, bakeries, and beverage businesses. Taking place every Sunday through Dec. 20, this beloved tour launched with a successful preview and just got extended.
"Taste of Downtown Yonge is passionate about connecting people to food culture in this neighbourhood and, just as importantly, to each other," said Pauline Larsen, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, Downtown Yonge BIA.
Both tours are the perfect excuse to get to know the city better and offer an affordable price point to do just that. Each group is capped at 15 people and all the food is included, with each tour sampling three to six items.
Even better, the tour is guided so you don't have to stress about what to order, where to eat, or what to explore. All that research has been done — all you have to do is show up and eat.
Presented by the Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area and operated by Tour Guys, this is the third season of local food tours, and it's about to be better than ever.
These tours have sold out each time and been praised by previous participants for their unique combination of food, storytelling, and discovery.
These are truly thoughtful experiences that have been designed with care and love and aim not only to promote local businesses but also to keep that IRL connection going.
Get ready to discover the true gems in the Downtown Yonge neighbourhood and be sure to grab your tour tickets ASAP.
