This Toronto cafe is hidden away in a place you'd never expect

If ever you're in Toronto and think that a game of padel and a matcha is all you need to decompress after a rough week, you can now head over to Blue Cat Padel, where you can get a dose of both under the same roof.

The padel facility has been open since October 2025, offering drop-in games and coaching services, with memberships available for those who play regularly.

But beyond the courts, what really sets this Scarborough spot apart is Blue Cat Espresso, a premium on-site coffee shop ready to fuel your day with the perfect caffeine fix, and described as a "cozy space" by the owners on Instagram

When you walk in, you might expect sprawling padel courts, but instead, you're greeted by a sleek, modern cafe with ample seating, a diverse food and drinks menu, and views of the play area.

Blue Cat Espresso may still be in its soft launch, but it's already giving main character energy. Thoughtfully crafted sandwiches — like the Brie & Crisp, Turk & Press, and Lox & Cream — stand out, as do specialty drinks like the Iced White Mocha Frio and Roasted Blue Matcha.

You'll find everything from coffee and tea to non-alcoholic beverages like seltzers, sparkling water, and smoothies, available for on-site or online ordering.

So, whether you're here for the game, the coffee, or both, the space offers an all-in-one spot to help you unwind, refuel, and recharge.

Blue Cat Padel is located at 120-1510 Birchmount Rd.
