All-you-can-drink wine festival coming to Toronto next month

Prepare to raise a glass and fill it up, Toronto, because the city's ultimate wine festival is gearing up for its biggest year yet.

Wine lovers the city over are in for a weekend of epic proportions this May as the annual Wine Fest Toronto returns, bringing over 100 wines and beverages from around the world together under one roof.

Back for its 6th sensational year, you'll be able to sip wines from celebrated wine regions in Argentina, Chile, South Africa, France and, of course, Ontario's very own Niagara-on-the-Lake, with all-you-can-taste samples under the sun.

Yes, it's all-you-can-taste, but, as someone who has shouldered a few more wine hangovers than I'd like to admit, let's keep it responsible, shall we?

The die-hard wine fanatics will also be able to attend educational seminars and meet wine producers from around the world, while those of you who are just there for the good times will be in great hands with live entertainment and photo ops galore.

The cherry on top of it all comes in the form of gourmet food pairings to help you along your journey to, quite possibly, discovering your new go-to wine.

To make things even better, this year the festival is moving to a brand-new, indoor location at Heritage Court, so you won't have to fret about whatever curveballs the spring weather could bring.

The festival takes place Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 at Exhibition Place, but if you miss it this time around, you're not out of luck: Wine Fest Toronto is also set to return to Toronto this November.

The Friday of the festival runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., while the Saturday has sessions at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., so you can concoct the perfect experience. The Toronto Flower Market also returns for the season that day, so why not kill two birds with one stone (or, better, two bottles with one cork) and hit up both?

Tickets are on sale now through the festival's website, and range in price depending on the date and session you attend, starting at $42 and going up to $82.

Whether you're a level 4 sommelier or simply enjoy a cold glass of Pinot after a long day, this festival is the ultimate ticket this spring. Think of it like Comicon, but for wine lovers.
