MasterChef Canada judge and Michelin-starred Chef Alvin Leung has attained celebrity status in the culinary world, but despite his global profile, the U.K.-born, Ontario-raised chef still keeps a finger on the pulse of what makes Toronto great.
blogTO caught up with Leung to ask the culinary icon about the places and things he loves most in Toronto.
Leung's Scarborough roots showed when he dished on his favourite Toronto event, park, attraction, sports moment, mall, music venue, activity, subway station, and even what he thinks is most overrated about Toronto.
And while he may be a big name in the world of fine dining, Leung admits that his cat is one of his harshest food critics.
