It's going to feel like 35 C in Toronto next week

Although Toronto weather has leaned more chilly and rainy this past week, one last burst of hot, summer weather is on the horizon to close out August with a bang.

The official start of fall is only four weeks away now, so temperatures will be fluctuating quite a bit as we transition into the new season. Things will really start to heat up on Wednesday, when a daytime high of 25 C is set to feel like 31 C.

Temperatures will continue to increase on Thursday, when a midday high of 26 C will feel like 32 C with the humidity. Following some isolated thunderstorms, temperatures will start off on a cooler note this weekend before temperatures start to rise once again.

According to The Weather Network's forecast, Toronto is set to see a high of 23 C on Friday, and a high of 22 C on Saturday, with nighttime lows of 14 C and 16 C, respectively.

On Sunday, temperatures will rebound, with a daytime high of 25 C that'll feel like 31 C. Temperatures will reach a peak on Monday, when the high of 26 C will feel like 35 C when factoring in the humidity. Despite the hot temperatures, the risk of scattered showers will persist throughout the day.

Temperatures will remain elevated on the first day of September, when the daytime high of 26 C will feel like a scorching 34 C.

Throughout the rest of the week, daytime highs will hover in the mid-20s and will continue to feel like the low 30s with the humidity.

If you're already wondering how the rest of September will play out weather-wise, a long-range forecast from the Old Farmer's Almanac provides an early glimpse. The period between Sept. 5 and 8 is expected to be warm, although a risk of thunderstorms will be present.

Between Sept. 9 and 16, we can likely expect showers in southeastern Ontario, along with sunny conditions in the west, and cool temperatures all around. From Sept. 17-23, the region is expected to see more showers, followed by sunny and cool weather.

The last week of the month will likely bring lots of precipitation and chilly temperatures, just in time for the spooky season. Overall, the average temperature in September is expected to be 15 C, which is only 1 C below average. Precipitation totals are estimated to fall around 115 mm, which is 25 mm above average for the region.
