Costco Canada offers membership deal where you get money back for groceries

If you're thinking of getting a Costco Canada membership, now's your chance to take advantage of a terrific deal.

Groupon currently has an offer for a one-year membership exclusively for Canadian residents that's valid only at Costco Canada warehouses.

Right now, you can get a Gold Star Membership or an Executive Membership and get a $50 Digital Costco Shop Card with your purchase, meaning you'll get extra cash for your next grocery run at the big-box store.

These digital cards can be redeemed online or in-store, but cannot be used at Costco Gas Stations or at a Costco Food Court.

The Executive Membership costs $130 per year, while a Gold Star Membership costs $65 per year. These include one free household card for primary and affiliate members over the age of 16 and living at the same address.

Costco raised its annual membership fees in 2024 for the first time in years. The Gold Star membership increased from $60, and the higher-tier Executive membership jumped from $120

How can you get this Costco Canada membership deal?

The deal is only valid for new members and those who have not been a Costco Canada member in the last 12 months.

You can grab the offer on Groupon, and you may want to act fast because over 800 people have viewed it as of Wednesday.

If you run out of time, not to worry. Canadians can still get an amazing membership deal directly from the big-box store.

It currently has two special offers for shoppers who want to sign up as new members.

Canadians who sign up as an Executive Member can receive an online voucher for $100 off a $250 purchase made on the Costco Canada website. Those who sign up as a Gold Star Member will get an online voucher for $50 off a $150 purchase online.

Check out how to apply before the deal expires on Aug. 30, 2026.
