Here are some things only someone from Toronto would truly understand

Toronto is a city built by people from pretty much everywhere, with millions of people who end up calling the city home. 

Still, Toronto comes with its own learning curve. And according to locals, there are plenty of things only long-term residents truly get.

We hit the streets to ask people one simple question: what’s something only someone from Toronto would understand? 

Some of the answers had us gagged.

"That it takes 100 years to get anywhere," someone said.

No surprise there, as plenty of people constantly harp on traffic and the TTC. Although one person argued the roads aren't that bad... if you know the secret routes, that is.

Meanwhile, the comments on our TikTok are full of people defending the TTC, proving that Toronto's relationship with transit is complicated. 

And maybe that's what only someone from Toronto would truly understand.
