canadian history quiz

See if you can pass a fifth-grade Canadian history quiz

Whether you're a Canadian history buff or casually enjoy trivia nights, your general knowledge might come in handy today.

Inspired by Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? — the American TV show making adults feel not-so-smart since 2007 — we've created a quiz to test your knowledge of Canadian history.

In response to a recent quiz on Canada's geography, nearly 35,000 people pulled up their sleeves to answer Grade 5-level questions about the tallest peaks and the longest rivers of the True North.

Now it's time to see how well you remember Canadian history.

We went through history worksheets, study material, and quizzes created for Canadian fifth-graders, and devised 10 questions for you.

When you finish answering all the questions and hit the purple "submit" button on the following form, you might see the page go blank. Worry not; your results are still there! Scroll back up a little to reveal a green "view score" button.

Best of luck! Let's begin:

Seeing a blank page? Just scroll up a bit to see the "view score" button.

Let us know how you scored and what kind of Canadian trivia you'd like to see next.

And if you haven't taken our citizenship quiz yet, give it a go here.
