You can ride old TTC streetcars through Ontario's stunning fall colours

Fall colours in Ontario are a sight to behold, and if you want to experience them for yourself, then take a trip to the Halton County Radial Railway (HCRR), hop on one of their vintage streetcars, and go on a nature escape.

Located in Guelph, Ont., HCRR takes riders on a two-kilometre journey through a canopy of autumn leaves, highlighting the vibrant fall colours that take over surrounding trees and foliage this time of year.

The HCRR is an electric railway museum that operates a fleet of vintage, decommissioned Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) streetcars, which transport visitors on a short tour along a rail circuit across the property.

The short journey allows riders to travel back to the streetcar's heyday in the twentieth century with their traditional interiors and bells that don't ring prerecorded through a speaker.

Patrons can see a variety of preserved, old-school streetcars on the property.

Aside from unlimited streetcar rides, each ticket to the excursion also includes access to the Rockwood Station and display barns. The grounds also have a gift shop where you can purchase memorabilia and even snack on some baked goods.

Dogs are also allowed on the premises. So, if you're a pet parent who wants to take your four-legged friend out on a fall adventure, they're welcome at HCRR as long as they're kept on a leash.

General admission for adults is $25, and visitors can purchase their tickets at the Gift Shop. The railway is open for fall tours from Sept. 1 through Oct. 27, operating on the weekends and holidays.

HCRR is located at 13629 Guelph Line, in Milton, Ont.
