Ontario's new flying theatre ride just won a major award

Roughly eleven months since its opening, Niagara Takes Flight remains one of Ontario's hottest tourist attractions, holding an impressive 4.7-star Google rating — and it's not just tourists taking notice.

The 2025 debut of Niagara Falls' much-anticipated flying theatre attraction was met with rave reviews from visitors, and, now, from the audiovisual industry as well.

The popular attraction was recognized at the 2026 MONDO-DR Awards in Las Vegas, which highlight the best and brightest fixed audiovisual installation projects worldwide. 

Audiovisual architects Branch AV, who worked with Niagara Parks on the new attraction, were awarded for their work on Niagara Takes Flight in the "Parks and Attractions" category.

The company was awarded for its work in designing and integrating the audiovisual systems for Niagara Takes Flight. The attraction synchronizes drone-shot footage with simulated flying motion, adding environmental effects like mist, scents, and wind to fully immerse riders.

The attraction debuted on August 29, 2025, and, approaching its first anniversary, is already cementing itself as one of Niagara Falls' must-see tourist attractions.
