Catch peak fall colours from almost 240 metres above ground at this Ontario resort

As we approach the window of Ontario foliage at its peak in fall colours, Calabogie Peaks Resort's Fall Colours Lift is a great way to catch a glimpse of gorgeous reds, ambers, and oranges in the trees.

The Fall Colours Lift graces you with vast aerial views of the Ottawa Valley as you slowly ascend to the peak of Dickson Mountain, a total of 237 metres above ground level. Once you're at the top, enjoy a stroll through the Skywalk Trail, a 1.5-kilometre loop around the mountain, and complete the experience by getting up close and personal with the autumn leaves that surround the path.

The serene view not only encompasses the vibrant colours of the season but also the sights of the Madawaska River and Calabogie Lake, both of which appear to be a pristine blue.

Many visitors choose to stay the night at the Calabogie Peaks Resort, which boasts an old-school ambience, complete with restaurants on the property, and the opportunity to canoe along the Calabogie Lake, a popular activity here aside from leaf peeping.

For an abundance of fall colour viewings in the Eastern region, you can also visit nearby Centennial Lake and Matawatchan Provincial Parks.
