One day after playing Kawhi Leonard's old team, the Toronto Raptors provided an update on their absent superstar.
It's good news.
In a press release, the Raptors announced that Leonard has "successfully completed treatment" to address swelling in his left knee.
"He will now begin the return to play process in Toronto, and his progress will be updated in one week," the Raptors announced.
The Raptors play in Denver on Wednesday and Milwaukee on Friday, before returning home to Toronto.
Leonard has appeared in just two games this season, both wins for the Raptors. They're 2-3 without him, following a comeback win against the LA Clippers on Monday.
"It's always frustrating missing time," Leonard said via social media last week. "I came back to compete with this team and I'm focused on getting back to 100.
"Toronto, I've appreciated the love since I've been back. Returning soon."
