Facing the team that traded you for the first time must be a little strange, and for former Toronto Raptors guard Gradey Dick, it's something he's still getting used to.
The Raptors were in Los Angeles on Monday to take on Dick and the Clippers, marking the second meeting between the two teams since the proposed June 30 trade for Kawhi Leonard.
Speaking to reporters after Toronto's 125-118 comeback win, Dick said he's still reminding himself before he hits the floor that he's not on the Raptors.
"I've gotten more used to it since the preseason [game]… After that preseason game, there was a little hesitation in the first play when I saw them, and I saw the red jerseys," Dick said.
"I had to remind myself I'm on the opposite side now."

The 22-year-old from Kansas, who the Raptors selected 13th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, appears to still be close with several of his former teammates.
As soon as Monday's game ended, Dick was swarmed by RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Jamison Battle, who all wanted to catch up with their former teammate.
"It was good to see Gradey; it's great to see him playing well too," Quickley said after the game.
Dick finished the night with 12 points in 28 minutes, shooting five-for-11 from the field.

"At the end of the day, we are friends off the court, but there's always motivation to play against them," Dick said on facing the Raptors.
The former Raptor has gotten off to a solid start with the Clippers, improving both his field-goal percentage and three-point shooting through his first seven games while also seeing more playing time than he did last season with Toronto.
The other big piece the Raptors gave up in the Kawhi Leonard trade, Brandon Ingram, was on the Clippers bench on Monday, as he's recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered last season.
Ingram is apparently nearing a return by the end of the month and could definitely be back in the lineup when the two teams meet again in Toronto on New Year's Day.
