The NHL season is here, but you won't find tonight's Toronto Maple Leafs game on any TV guides.

After a disappointing 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night, the Leafs aren't wasting any time trying to wash that salty taste out of their mouths. They'll welcome in the New York Islanders on Wednesday night for the second half of a back-to-back to start the new season.

It's set to be an exciting matchup, with a pair of first-overall picks butting heads in Matthew Schaefer and Gavin McKenna, but finding the game might be a bit more difficult than usual.

The matchup is set to be featured during Prime Video's first edition of Wednesday Night Hockey and will only be available through the streaming service.

Fans wanting to get in on the action will need to subscribe to Prime Video to do so. At the moment, a monthly subscription to the streaming service runs $9.99, while an annual membership costs $99.

The Prime Video broadcast will feature John Forslund on play-by-play, with analyst Jody Shelley on colour, and Thomas Hickey between the benches. Andi Petrillo will be the rinkside reporter.

Leafs fans will be able to tune into the broadcast a half-hour before the action begins, which will feature live shots of the atmosphere as fans pour into Scotiabank Arena, something Prime Video calls "Home Ice Access."

This will be the first of six Maple Leafs games that will be featured on Prime Video this season, all of which take place on Wednesday nights. The other games that will make their way to the streaming giant include:
