Bo Bichette reveals he barely talks to former Toronto Blue Jays teammates

Bo Bichette appears to have fully moved on from the Toronto Blue Jays.

The 28-year-old spent the first seven seasons of his MLB career in Toronto signing a three-year, $126 million deal with the New York Mets this past January.

Bichette was a major part of the Blue Jays throughout his time with the organization, becoming a face of the franchise and establishing himself as one of the team's most productive hitters.

But now that he's wearing a different uniform, it appears he's largely left his old life in Toronto behind.

Bichette was recently asked how much he has kept in touch with his former Blue Jays teammates.

"Honestly, not much, not much," Bichette said to Tyler Boronski. "I've probably had occasional conversations here and there. I think that kind of stuff happens more in the offseason. We're all super busy trying to do the hardest sport in the world every day."

While Bichette made it clear there aren't any hard feelings toward the players he spent years alongside, he acknowledged that regular communication has been minimal.

"A ton of love for them, but not a whole lot of conversation."

That probably isn't all that surprising.

Bichette and the Blue Jays went through plenty together, including multiple playoff appearances and the disappointment of falling short of a championship. He also endured several years of trade speculation before ultimately leaving Toronto as a free agent.

Now, he's focused on a new chapter in New York.

For Blue Jays fans who watched Bichette grow from a highly touted prospect into an All-Star shortstop, it may be strange to hear that he's barely talking to many of the teammates he spent so much time with.

But Bichette's comments suggest the transition from Toronto to New York has been fairly straightforward. The memories remain, but the day-to-day relationships have largely stayed in the past.
