Streaming star N3on was just rejected from Canada's Wonderland

Popular online streamer 'N3on' was turned away from Canada's Wonderland over the weekend when park security determined his social media notoriety could create a safety risk.

Twenty-one-year-old content creator Mikyle Rafiq, better known as N3on to his millions of viewers, documented the interaction with security staff after arriving at the amusement park in Vaughan, Ont.

According to footage of the exchange, Rafiq was informed that he would not be permitted to enter the park and was asked to leave the property. Rafiq even offered to put away his camera and refrain from filming inside the park. Security personnel maintained that the issue wasn't the camera itself, but the crowds that could form around him.

"You're not coming into the park because of your social media presence," a security guard told the streamer. "Look behind you, there are kids approaching you, and they're going to end up swarming you. You're already surrounded. Imagine being in the park full of thousands of people," the security guard tells him in the footage now circulating online.

The exchange appeared to show a growing number of fans gathering around N3on as he spoke with park staff, with security expressing concerns that the situation could become difficult to manage inside the attraction.

"To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, we reserve the right to refuse admission to any individual whose presence poses a safety or security concern," a spokesperson for Canada's Wonderland tells blogTO.

While the statement did not specifically name N3on, it aligns with the explanation provided by security staff during the interaction.

When asked how a public figure, or someone with a significant social media presence, can enjoy a day at the park — a question also posed by N3on to Canada's Wonderland authorities — the spokesperson says that "when appropriate, alternative access options, including escorted visits and behind-the-scenes experiences, may be made available."

Online discussion has also suggested that the on-site team advised N3on to book the park's VIP package, which isn't a new arrangement for celebrities with large followings.

Meanwhile, people have taken to the comments section of the footage online to share their own experiences with celebrities at the park.

"When I was working there in the summer of 2014, Adam Sandler came to the park with his family. He did the VIP program, and there were tons of staff preventing people from swarming him and allowing him to have a private park visit with his family undisturbed by fans," a former employee mentioned.

Others have come in support of the park's decision to refrain from letting N3on inside: "Good on Wonderland for turning him away," a user said, while another commented, "Wonderland for the WIN - love that! Safety first!"

Unconfirmed claims also suggest that the controversial social media personality announced his visit to the park on his X account ahead of his arrival. He ultimately left without entering the park.
