Toronto Blue Jays looking into viral video of reckless Rogers Centre thrill-seekers

A viral video circulating on social media has drawn plenty of reaction from Toronto Blue Jays fans.

The video shows someone walking across the upper reaches of Rogers Centre, before sitting on a beam with their feet dangling high above the field.

The video footage was uploaded to Instagram by an account named @gonbvsd. It is the only activity that appears on the account's page, and has already amassed more than 266,000 page views.

The footage is rather terrifying.

It is unclear as to how the person, as well as the individual filming, were able to get access to this part of the stadium. These catwalks provide access to the perimeter and underside of Rogers Centre's retractable roof are only meant to be accessed by staff.

To give an understanding as to just how high above the ground these individuals were in this video, the highest point of the retractable roof reaches 282 feet, just shy of 86 meters.

This isn't the first time we've seen such a stunt performed, either.

Shortly after the Blue Jays' season wrapped up in 2022, a Toronto-based rooftopper also made his way to the top of the building.

Toronto Police told blogTO that they have seen the video, but have yet to confirm whether it's real or perhaps made by AI. They also mentioned that they have searched all the way back to November 2025, and were unable to locate any calls or investigations in relation to a trespasser fitting the circumstances of the video.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jays confirmed in a statement to blogTO that they are aware of the incident and are looking into into the matter.

"Rogers Centre hosts millions of fans at more than 100 sports and entertainment events each year and ensuring the safety of all attendees is a top priority," said Blue Jays vice president of communications Andrea Goldstein.

"Rogers Centre has robust security measures both inside and outside of the stadium and works closely with the city and all levels of law enforcement to ensure a safe experience for all fans."
