MLB insider tabs these three Toronto Blue Jays players as trade possibilities

The Toronto Blue Jays might still have a few more tricks up their sleeve this offseason.

Coming off a World Series appearance, the pressure is on to keep pushing to be one of the MLB's most competitive teams next year.

Early projections show the Blue Jays should be among the AL's best teams next year, and in prime position to potentially head back to the Fall Classic once again.

But that doesn't exactly mean that the front office is complacent.

In an article published Wednesday morning for The Athletic, MLB insider Ken Rosenthal discussed the Blue Jays still being active in the pitcher market, despite adding Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce already as free agents.

"One way for the Blue Jays to add a reliever is by trading one of their lesser outfielders, an option they are considering, according to people briefed on their plans," Rosenthal wrote. Rosenthal tabbed Nathan Lukes, Myles Straw and Joey Loperfido as three options that are "possibilities to move".

Will the Blue Jays end up making a move?

It'll be an interesting calculation for Toronto to make, as Straw and Loperfido are lower down the depth chart, but both are, by all accounts, well-received in the Jays' clubhouse.

Lukes, meanwhile, is currently projected to be the team's starting left fielder, though that could change should they end up making a move in free agency, potentially for Kyle Tucker.

But even if Toronto has had internal discussions about moving any of those three players, it is hard to imagine a possibility the Jays haven't considered, to be quite honest.

Toronto's front office has shown a tendency not to be overly concerned with outside perception of their moves, with just about everybody on the roster up for grabs if the price is right.
