Will he stay, or will he go?
That's the number one question Toronto Blue Jays fans are asking when it comes to Bo Bichette. The 27-year-old shortstop is currently a free agent and in line to get a massive contract.
By all accounts, the Blue Jays would love to have Bichette back. They are looking to build on their great season in hopes of another trip to the World Series, and have already bolstered their roster thanks to the free-agent signing of starting pitcher Dylan Cease.
But will they get it done?
One of the biggest questions is how badly Bichette wants to continue playing as a shortstop. Jon Morosi of MLB Network has reported that several interested teams view him as more of a second or third baseman.
Early in free agency, the majority of interest in Bo Bichette is at shortstop.

The Jays could allow Bichette to continue at shortstop, though that would necessitate Andres Gimenez shifting back to second base following an impressive playoffs at shortstop.
Another question comes down to money. Bichette is expected to sign a deal worth roughly $200 million. His bat is certainly worth that, but his defensive shortcomings are a cause for concern.
If chasing the bag is his main priority, it's not out of the question that a team with deep pockets like the LA Dodgers or New York Yankees could outbid the Jays.
It isn't just the Yankees and Dodgers who have been linked to add Bichette, either. ESPN'S Jeff Passan has also listed teams such as the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, and even the Detroit Tigers as potential suitors.
Meanwhile, WEEI's Rob Bradford has reported that the Boston Red Sox are also looking to sign the two-time All Star.
"The Red Sox have shown interest in the 27-year-old free agent infielder, who would certainly fit the bill when it comes to an impactful right-handed bat that can hit in the top four spots of the Sox's batting order," Bradford wrote.
At the end of the day, this all comes down to what Bichette values most. Does he wish to stay with the only MLB organization he's ever known, or perhaps look to cash in on what will be the biggest contract in his career. Right now, it's wait-and-see for now, which certainly won't ease the nerves of Blue Jays fans praying for him to return.
