World Series anthem singers revealed and this Toronto Blue Jays legend is throwing first pitch

After much speculation, the Toronto Blue Jays legend that will throw out the first pitch before Friday's World Series game has been revealed.

Former Blue Jays centre fielder Devon White will throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 6 at Rogers Centre in Toronto, according to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. The 62-year-old follows Cito Gaston (Game 1) and Joe Carter (Game 2) to receive this honour during the World Series.

White played five seasons in Toronto, winning five consecutive Gold Gloves from 1991 to 1995. A legendary leadoff batter, White was a member of the Blue Jays' World Series winning teams in 1992 and 1993.

The anthem singers have also been revealed.

David Grenon will sing O Canada, while John Vincent has been tasked with the Star Spangled Banner.

Hopefully they get the lyrics right, because the singer that performed the Canadian national anthem last game in Los Angeles got more than a few of them wrong.
