Thinking of taking a trip over to Canada's Wonderland? Don't forget to pack your swimsuit because the park's beloved water park, Splash Works, is set to open this weekend.
The 20-acre water park, which is included with regular park admission, features everything from towering water slides to Canada's largest outdoor wave pool, Whitewater Bay. Guests can also float along the lazy river for a little rest and relaxation between rides.
But if you're more of a thrill-seeker, then you're in luck.
Among the biggest attractions at Splash Works, and maybe even the entire park itself, is Muskoka Plunge, where riders step into a launch chamber before the floor suddenly vanishes and sends them down a near-vertical waterslide in a state of free fall from 60 feet above ground.
If you're looking for even more heart-racing fun, beloved attractions like Mountain Bay Cliffs and Moosehorn Falls are also returning for the season.
Some may remember that the theme park was working on a "record-breaking water attraction" for the 2026 season. Unfortunately, plans to bring that idea to life are on hold, but the Canada's Wonderland promises a fun-filled experience for guests nonetheless.
It's safe to say the opening of Splash Works marks the unofficial start of summer at Canada's Wonderland, and the theme park is already gearing up for a packed season with fireworks and festivals, a new lineup of bizarre eats, and some of the park's most beloved attractions.
The water park officially opens on May 23. Tickets for Canada’s Wonderland (which include access to Splash Works) start at $45.99 plus applicable taxes and fees, and can be purchased online or on site.
Canada's Wonderland is located at 1 Canada's Wonderland Drive in Vaughan, Ont.
